On Wednesday, July 8, at 8:00 PM, we invite you to a synthetic evening of active and passive meditations at Lumos, led by Eastern, manual and holistic therapist, Tama, and meditation teacher, musician, and sound-vibration therapy practitioner, Nelly.

What awaits you at a therapy evening?

🪇 The first part will be devoted to body-centered active dance movement therapy, which is a technique for expressing emotions through the body and releasing spiritual, emotional, and mental barriers and pain. It is based on the relationship between movement and emotion as a mechanism through which an individual can see themselves more clearly through personal integration.

🌊 The meeting will end with a restorative sound session, led by sound therapist Tornike .

🪈 During the session, she will use crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, a tuning fork, a rain stick, and other soothing instruments. This harmonious sound will help you achieve deep relaxation, calm your nervous system, and completely reset your mind.

Sound therapy works through vibrations, frequencies, and resonance. Studies show that deep resonant experiences help shift brainwaves from the active beta state to the calmer alpha, theta, or delta states associated with meditation, deep relaxation, access, and recovery.

🎶 Sound also helps balance the autonomic nervous system and activates the parasympathetic - rest-and-recovery state. Sound vibrations penetrate directly into tissues, muscles and bones, which helps to relax, improve blood circulation and release accumulated tension.

🌀 Studies have shown that such practices have the potential to reduce cortisol (the stress hormone) levels. They also stimulate the production of nitric oxide, which helps dilate blood vessels and relax the body.
